Ward-Level Tracking

Water management targets are tracked at the ward level across all 369 wards to ensure equitable access to clean water and sanitation.

369 Wards Monitored

Each ward reports on water supply coverage, wastewater treatment capacity, rainwater harvesting structures, lake health, and stormwater drainage systems. Ward-level data will be updated quarterly to track progress toward 2030 targets.

Data Collection Status: Water infrastructure assessments underway. First ward-level reports expected Q2 2026.

Key Actions Being Taken

Initiatives and programs driving progress toward water sector targets.

Sewage Treatment Plants

Expanding STP capacity to 1500 MLD and upgrading existing plants with tertiary treatment.

Mandatory Rainwater Harvesting

Enforcing RWH for all buildings with incentives and technical assistance for installation.

Lake Restoration Program

Desilting, rejuvenating, and protecting all 200+ lakes with community-led maintenance.

Wastewater Reuse

Promoting treated wastewater for industrial use, landscaping, and groundwater recharge.

Stormwater Drainage

Building comprehensive drainage networks and permeable surfaces to prevent flooding.
